thanks for the reply. I have pretty good building skills and was just trying to crack a bit of a joke. I really don't like to do film covering so I tend to paint most of my planes, including pattern planes. In reality, I have about 20+ pattern planes under my belt and have been building for about 50 years (started with free flights ,then to control line and Rc in 1973). Somewhere along the line I began to build crash proof (probably started when I did warbirds and jets) and I am getting back to building light. i agree about the paint. I have had conversations with Bryan Hebert and others about my painting practices and they have offered some pointers. I think I will be OK on weight. I had better be since this is intended to be my Nats plane.
