I would call C&H ignitions or check the web site out.. he is the best guy to do the job, he will make you a custom set up to any battery or engine combo a person can have.. a super nice guy I dont have the web site but have the invoice. 99 dollars is what i spent. i had mine set up to except a 6.2v battery. he cane even make them with deans plugs for better voltage and or for lipo's you name it he can do it.

the # is 307-857-6897

Just curious, but why are you using 6.2 volts on the CDI? If you used that voltage on the original unit, that may be why it is fried inside? If C&H knew you were going to use 6,2 volts, he would, I am sure have installed a regulator or limiter to bring the voltage to that recommended by RCEXL which is 4.8v. However that mod would make your RCEXL non standard and not replaceable by another unit. Many threads have addressed the ECDI input voltage issue. Most will say that higher input voltages only cause more waste heat and reduce reliability and offer no performance improvement. BTEHO. Good luck.
