Default RE: Grumman Widgeon

Wow! I love float flying and just found this thread.
Y'all are flying one of my dream planes; the Widgeon.
I've been water flying for 30 years and always thought about that big Widgeon, but was having too much fun with Northstars, Lakers, Cubs, and now the (baby North star) Polaris.

I have a 1/4 scale Super Decathlon on floats that really flys great on a G-38. It's a Dynaflyte kit and weighs only 23 pounds.
Someday I'll have a widgeon model, Now I have a 80 pound Golden Retriever named "Widgeon" and he does well in the water too! I'll try to attach a pic of the Decathlon.

I wanted a float plane that was both scale and aerobatic, and man do I have one now with this Decathlon.

I have built a few twin seaplanes, my favorite is a ACE Seamaster 120 with two Saito 120s on turbo style nacelles.

Anybody have a big Widgeon kit for sale or trade?
