SHOCKS, SHOCKS, SHOCKS!!!!!!!!

Shocks DO NOT raise or lower a car or truck. Ride height is adjusted by the coil springs period. A shock is a damper/stabilizer and nothing more. If you use a shock that is too long for the spring, then the suspension cannot work properly since the spring is what carries the weight of the car/truck. If you use a shock too short for the spring, the suspension cannot work properly and the springs become overloaded and an overall “stiffness” occurs and you might as well not be using shocks at all.

It you want increased height; you’ll need longer springs and shocks or shock extenders (extenders you can make yourself).

If you’re going low profile but want to retain suspension characteristics, then you’ll use shorter shocks and shorter springs. (Cutting springs is an option, just remember that just a little cut goes a long way).
