I'm using the stock tailwheel and it has not given me to many troubles. I have found, though, that it has little to no effect when turning the aircraft. It is far to flexible and remains in the "straight ahead" position when making a turn. Regardless, the ground handling is nice, but I'm only flying off grass, so I can't comment on a paved surface.
I may replace it with a tailskid in the future.
