Fyresdal Jet Meeting in Norway, video
Last week we had a 5 day jet meeting in picturesque Fyresdal in the middle of Southern Norway.
We are welcome to fly there at any time, we get to borrow their GA field and can fly from sunrise
till sunset. They even cut down the forest on the far side of the runway by 40 feet for us to give
less turbulence!
We were about 35 pilots and 45 planes, and we flew in great weather, somewhat windy the first
days, but perfect on parts of Friday, all day Saturday and some wind again on Sunday. We also
had a visit from Thore Thoresen, a club member who is also in the elite of Norwegian full size
aerobatic pilots. He performed several shows with his Extra 230, adding to the excitement of the
audience (and the model pilots!!)
