I didn't photograph it but recall while looking at the added weight inside the cowl mounted above the engine that the G-23 fit completely inside the cowl. Spark plug wire may have protruded but didn't notice.

Time permitting I will fit my G-23 inside the cowl to see how it fits and advise.
