Many years ago I had one with a 1.8 or 1.9 cubic inch reed valve engine, forget the name, was made in the late 80's, something tells me World Engines imported it. The plane was covered with Sig coverall and rattle can paint. Flew like the real thing, needed 200' to get up to speed, shallow climb out. More power would not have made the plane fun to fly.
Sounds like you had the smaller Maloney 100 engine? It didn't have any power. He later had the 125 and it didn't have any power either.
