Iwent with the 4x4 because I was getting back into the hobby, personally Ialso wanted 4wd because Iwant to be able to take it to parks and other places and just bash a little with it here and there. Ialso went with the kit because with a Slash Iwouldn't know how to unassemble it for broken parts like I do the SC10 now. Ican have my diffs and servo out if need be in 10 mins and Idon't even need the manual now. I'm also running a similar setup as TBJ and the truck screams it's a ton of fun and that little 540 CCmotor is amazing.

My local hobby shop has a ton of slash owners as well which makes the class races fuller you see 4x4 class trucks and you only have 5-6 guys on the track the slash is 12+........... There where a bunch of slash guys on the oval track last weekend and they where just bash racing was a ton of fun, but even the guys with modified slashes couldn't keep up with my buddy's SC10. I'm overall happy with my choice and I think you will be happy with whichever you get.
