RE: POST A PIC OF YOUR DRIFTER THREAD!!!!!!!!!
I was going to try front mid motor for my S2 this year. Someone else tried it last year or so, and couldn't get it to work.
I've worked out the steering (as the mod makes it impossible to re-install the stock steering components) to get as much as is mechanically possible.
At least it will retain the front drive system. The mod is still in the works, but I will be doing something with it this year.
Too bad about the JRXS. I have a JRXS-R and it is a great drift platform, and Ihave mine back in grip trim, and it flies! Another commenter has one that is CS'ed.
The quality of the JRXS and R series is top-notch, and the JRXS-R at least is FULLY adjustable. I mean fully. There are adjustments on the JRXS-R that you won't even find on chassis like the Tamiya TA06, or even the Associated TC6. JRXS-R's can still be found, but are mostly all built, but come with some really nice used electronics, though. The last retail price for those before they went on the discontinued list was $200 for the kit.
I managed to get a kit before stock ran out. It's the highest quality kit Ihave built. Every part is well-engineered and made. Once adjusted properly, it does everything it's supposed to, and fine tuning is easy.
Don't expect the S2 mod anytime soon. It will probably take a few months before Ican get to it.
