So I have a question...I'm new to the off road side of cars (been running on-road for a couple decades now on and off) and I just picked up a SC10 4x4.  I picked up a Havok ESC with the 8.5 540 sized motor and will be running the 93 spur with a 19 pinion.

My question is will this be too little motor for the truck? Seems like everyone is going with near $400 motor/ESC setups running 550 4.5s.  Just seems like it had pleanty of power when I tested it a little last night with the 8.5 540 but would hate to get smoked by a better motor and not a better driver.
