I too had to replace the wire gear with dural aluminum landing gear. It definitely improved my landings by cutting out much of the bouncing. I highly recommend this, if you find your landings are a bit bouncy, too.
Oh yeah . . .count measone of those that votes for, "No canopy."
C'mon, do you think this plane would look right with a canopy sitting on top ofit?
