Default RE: It was 30 years ago today...

Just got back from a fantastic days flying at wtn. I think we had 16 club members flying jets there today, lots of flying and not a single incident.

It was a pleasure to spend the day with the pioneers of the jet modelling on the uk, Gordon Whitehead, Pete Nye, Alec Cornish Trestrail and of course Dick.

A few notable flights - Gordon put us to shame as he was flying at every opportunity. I also enjoyed Rich Chant flying his P20 powered stinger as its the first time I have seen it fly. Good to see Jamie flying his Bobcat well, also John Sanders and Andy Bascombe flying well but of course have to mention Pim Smith and his Vintage Gnat.

Lastly I wish to publicly thank my fellow Swindon Model Club Members for allowing this gathering of Swindon club Jet flyers and losing a days flying.

Geoff.
