I think the increased traction has a lot to do with it. I had a truck get hotter when I geared it shorter. I blew a slipper clutch in the 4-pole tonight. Its done until the mail gets moving. The parts were ordered june 2. Its eating slippers. Even when these pads were new I could hear the clutch slipping when the throttle was pegged.
I will try more punch control. It was at 50% tonight and I usually run 60%. I like to limit punch over torque.
