You might also want to see the third post down by a Tekin Team driver. Where did you see them endorse 6s on a 2650?!?

Think you were looking at the speed controller specs matey. The speed controls are rated at 6s, both of them, but 6s is not recommended for either of these motors. Believe me if you go 6s, you will spend as much time waiting for it to cool as you will driving it.

OK.. thanks for that. I thought they where saying the combo motor/esc could handle 6s
No worries matey, it's something I've been looking into a lot lately. There are people doing it with incredible results, but the trade off is downtime and damaged electronics. Check out this guy with his Xray buggy on 2650 6s. Listen to that thing rev when he opens it up about halfway through the vid. Amazing, but I have to say I wouldn't do it. I think 2200 on 6s with the right gearing is the way to go for speed without long periods of downtime. I have to assume this guy sticks to 5 min runs, or is very wealthy :P
