Default Aerobatic RTFs???

Yub, yub,
If you read this, you should come out for the Fun Fly too. It will give you a chance to see what this is all about, and to learn about different types of equipment.

Dauntae,
The fun flys are generally very low key stuff. Climb and glide, most loops in thirty seconds kind of stuff.

Turn out will depend on the weather forecast; our members seem to be picky and I can't figure them out, if there's a forecast for showers, we may not see anyone even if there isn't a cloud in sight. We generally will have 8 or 10 at most, so your contingent may constitute more than half the contestants. No prizes by the way (maybe ribbons), but no entry fees either.

I'm starting to think that having them the first of every month, May thru October is too often, which reduces the turnout.

We're also having a scale fly-in the next week, forget if it's Saturday or Sunday. It too is open to any AMA member. The last few years we've had a decent turnout for that, 20 to 30 pilots from all around.

You need to keep one thing in mind if you're going to practice flying for 'our' events; short field landings. Our field is, for all practical purposes, only about 200 feet long, and about 60 feet wide at the narrow end. It also runs uphill a bit from left to right. Landings from left to right are okay, but right to left is tougher because the ground is always falling out from under you. The approaches are fairly open though, so it's manageable.

I'm making the field sound worse than it really is (kind of). But we have a good bunch of guys, so please come on out, you'll have a good time at least.
