Default RE: Radio

Hi,

There is no bad radios really these days, butthe cheap no name parkflyers radios belong to just that - parkflying.
You can not go wrong with a Futaba 6, 7 or 8 ch FASST 2.4 GHz.
Futaba 8FG Super is probably the radios among Futaba that will give the most features for the money today
and a radio You can grow with for many years in the future. It will also be telemetry ready later this year
(all Futaba FASSTradios will be able to use telemetry in autumn).
For those interested in Futaba telemetry just read this (german) Robbe/Futaba document:
http://www.robbe.de/content_global/i...etrie_2011.pdf
(copy and paste text from the PDF document and paste in to Google translator and you can see what
Futaba will offer regarding telemetry for existing FASST radios).
I have a Futaba 14MZ myself.

If You want telemetry today Spektrum DX8 is a good radio althoug they had problems with the radio when it was
released but it should be no problem if you buy a new DX8 today.

On the other hand, telemetry is not that important but a nice feature that can make flying a little safer and also
some more fun. For me it would not be a top argument for chosing radio brand today.
