Yep....stick with Futaba, don't be a pioneer. Use what most of the guys
at your flying field are using....which is most likely Futaba.

I have never been to your field- but your comment had some validity 20 years ago in Utah and other western areas I often visited when attending pattern contests
Today the number of 2.4 Futabas I have seen can be counted on one hand
These all work very well .
Why the change?
Easy answer - the advent of the SPEKTRUM 2.4
These guys were firstest with the mostest and simply killed the rest of the new radio market with the 2.4 and the features they built into it.
Perhaps someday the ratios will shift to include other brands - maybe even some unknown at the moment.
