Default RE: Engine Help

ORIGINAL: YellowAircraft

Hi,

I had a NIB Evo 35GT which I bought on RCU, then sold un-started to a local guy. He's been trying to run it and reports that he can't get it to fire, no matter what. He says that the carb will not draw fuel into the engine. He says that if he removes the plug and drips some fuel into the case, that it will fire until it burns off the prime.

Any ideas? It's a Walbro, and I've only seen this kind of thing when there was something not hooked up properly. These things are relatively simple machines, and if there's spark and fuel vapor, it should pop. Walbros aren't very complicated either (or so I thought). Any help would be greatly appreciated, especially if you have one of these engines.

Hi all,

YellowAircraft is a nice guy I bought this from him and the engine is brand new I also bought 26cc from another member . Sunday I brought both of them to the field for break in, no problem at all with the 26cc fired up right a way but for the 35cc i couldn't make it fire up, I can see the fuel draw from the tank to the carb. but it won't start even give me a popping sound then i switched the carb. from my 26 to see if is the carb. is a problem, started with my starter to make sure the fuel get into the carb, turned on the ignition then start with the starter this time it gave me couple popping then quit so i thought is could be an ignition. Yesterday i borrowed my friend a carb and ignition from his engine (same as mime) so that i can test the engine again. Today spent almost 3 hours with 3 carb. 2 Ignitions but the engine still not run then when i removed the muffler from the engine lots of fuel came out from the muffler that tell me the fuel get into the engine then went out of the muffler but why it won't start? not enough spark from the ignition ? I have no idea what to do next and hope someone can help me my 109 ready for this engine
