Default RE: KingTech K-80

Ausfester...   i dont get any flames out of my unit with the settings i gave you but i';m on a F platform so that might be it.  To date, all i did was mount the turbine onto my falcon and its been a clean and consistent start all the time....  i love the power the new K80 units are putting out as it will put a 20lb plane vertical from take off in 90-100 deg F ambient temp.  <div>
</div><div>We did try one unit on a pump start at a higher setting and we had flames coming out the back of it as well before we bought the pump start ramp setting down to 6... that was an older k80e on the FW pump and it no longer shoots out flames once it starts up.  </div><div>
</div><div>If i understand it correctly, the pump start ramp number controls the fuel feed during start up and the higher the number, the more chances you will have unburnt kero at the initial stage.  As an after thought, in the start parameter settings for gas, you might want to reduce the start gas parameter (Todd indicates 50) as the flames just might be from the start gas instead of the kero.  </div><div>
</div><div>Hope the above helps!  </div><div>
</div><div>You;ll sort it out...  i think you'll be very happy with the engine performance! Great value for money! </div><div>
