I like an articulated header for a couple of reasons...Especially when using a soft engine mount I feel it helps dampen the vibration through out the whole pipe system, it's less stress on the header mount which can crack. It makes tuning a lot easier especially if you have some spare header tubing. Last but not least, it really helps with the alignment issues that your facing here...

Here are some photos...You basically just put another cut in the header and add an additional silicone coupler...I'm doing this to all my headers...

You can get the coupler tubing from McMaster/Carr and the aluminum from Aircraft Spruce..
