removing the saver is very bad. you could get the upgrade metal clip that fits the saver.
That really just depend on the car and the servo. In my case I used a servo that I have left over from an 1/8 scale truggy. considering the weight difference between the 1/8 scale that it used to be in and the 1/18 scale it is in now I think it can handle the "stress" this little truck will give it. Also this servo is metal geared so it is quite strong. I am pretty sure the steering link would break before the servo would need any saving!
The steering is awesome now compared to the stock micro servo with the servo saver. But that probably goes without saying!
