You may think this is not possible but check to make sure your prop is mounted properly. If it is on backwards, the thrust is in the correct direction but the power will be greatly reduced. Usually, you want the printing on the prop face to be facing forward. Also make sure your batteries are fully charged in both the transmitter and plane.
