Congrats on joining our hobby!

I have not owned an Avistar but have flown one or two - you will really enjoy it. Although it is very gentle and a great trainer, it will fly aerobatics almost as well as a low wing model, so you won't be bored in a hurry!

If you get this, or any other model, check to see if the engine installed in the trainer can be transferred into a later model after you become skilled enough.

Either way, find the closest club and go check it out - chances are there will be someone to show you around and look at a few models. You may even see an Avistar as it is a popular model.
