I learned to fly on a Tiger 40. It is a low wing, tri-gear, 4-channel old Goldberg plane. Great planes offers them now. You can get them as an ARF or kit. Very easy plane to fly, it is stable and once you have learned the basics, you can do basic maneuvers with it. I am glad I choose that over the traditional trainer.
