This was a tank commanded by Staff Sgt Werter, assigned to HQ Hvy Tank Destroyer Bn 654, stationed at Graf. Have some not too nice memories of "vacationland Graf". Unpleasant times chopping & heating frozen mud out the suspension to get the tanks rolling. Rolled in late afternoon, parked in a foot of mud, overnight freeze locked the tracks up solid. Had to get any movable tank to back up to the sides of others to let the exhaust thaw out the road wheels. [:'(] There are a couple of barely recognizable Tigers down range that have been targets since 1945.
