usually get about 100'ish feet w/ antenna down on most of my radios. However I have one Futaba 4 channel that starts to twitch at about 30'ish feet - noticably shorter than the others.
You have answered your own question. The distance is not an absolute what is important is any reduction in range from what you formerly attained or a noticebly shorter range than your others. There is not way I would fly that Rx if it were me.
Perhaps this would be a great time for you to consider a 2.4 system. The prices are as cheap as what 72 once was, but most important you will realize an improvment in reliability.
I have now I think 39 ships flying on 2.4 (just added another this morning) and there is no doubt that I have virtually no mystery glitchs or RF link problems. Something I could not claim four years ago with nothing but 72.
