ifly - I never claimed that these reinforcements would save you from pilot error! HA! But they certainly make for a stronger, more reliable airplane. And I DO crash occasionally, sometimes because I like to push my flying envelope, and other times because of my own dumb mistakes.
In the news this morning - Bryan Jensen - renowned pilot of the Horizon Hobby ''The Beast'' crashed and died at an airshow in Kansas City. From everything I've seen and read he was an excellent stunt pilot. He had over 23,000 hours of professional and stunt flying. If THIS guy can crash it can happen to anyone.
I am very saddened to hear of this news about Bryan. I read about it in the local newspaper this morning. I met Bryan a couple years ago at an event...he will surely and sorely be missed. My condolences to his family.
From what I can gather, he was in a spin....whether a "nosedown" or "flat"...I don't know.
