Default RE: Turnkey or Second Hand

Hi Dennis

Lots of great deals to be had on the second hand market especially in recent years. Plenty of crap too...

Can you just clarify what you mean by 'turnkey'? To me it's commissioning a build or do you mean going out and buying all the stuff from new and building it in your own time?

Cheers
Hello Alex

I have to say I am not completely sure of what I mean by turnkey. It seems to be a term that has crept in over the last year or so.

We had and have: RTF, ARTF, KIT, Bits of sticks and a plan etc now we have turnkey which I think is a complete model jet built and all set up and ready to turn the key or in our case push the stick forward, start and fly. This is basically a complete model with all the bits and truely ready to go..... and of course if built by you to an amazingly high standard.

Oh we also of course have Bind and Fly which is a bit like turnkey I recon................... This is moving into the biger sizes as I have just ordered a 26 cc petrol Taylorcraft from the 'elf master'... How soon will it be before the companies do a bind and fly turbine jet perhaps with a P20 in it.

Regards

Dennis
