We have to remember that people like to be offended when they are not spoken to in the manner they prefer. Then you have those that become offended when they are providd information they didn't want to hear, or hear information in a manner they don't like to hear it. A great many people have problems communicating in a direct manner. They prefer that anything that could be attributed to them directly be phrashed in a manner that makes the statement a generality. Then you have the group where any and everything that happens to them is the fault of someone else. It all really comes down to blaming someone or something else whenever possible.
For me it's easier to just say it, and put the heat where it belongs the first time around. Less explaining that way but some become offended. I try to remember that if someone becomes offended it's not my problem. They are the ones offended and they have to deal with it by either facing the truth or avoiding the truth. Many choose to avoid it because to accept it would require them to realize they are not who they would like to be. If they accept they move forward much faster and make fewer repeated mistakes.
