Glow engines are a mess, its just a fact of life.
Check all the bolts on the engine , even the ones under the pull starter.
The gears are cheap enough to have a few on hand , I have not been able to break mine yet but they are not too hard to change if you do.
Metal gears are OK but Idont see that much trouble with the plastic.
