The problem with using the voltage direct from the ECU battery most starter motor voltage is 5-6 volt.
I think that's correct, my Wren start lead has a resistor in series with the motor.
I run it on a 3 cell lipo but the little Wrens need 40,000 RPM to self sustain. - John.
