At HD look in the plumbing section and get a small brass hose barb to fit your hose. Bring a sample piece of hose with you. The other end of the barb should be male pipe thread, so you can screw it into a small valve. You may possibly need a bushing to go in between the two. You'll also need a Garden hose thread adapter. If you cant figure out how to hook this all up ask someone in the plumbing dept to help you. You need the valve to regulate the water flow. Its better if the valve is right there for easy adjustment so you're not running back to the hose bib to control it from there.
