I moved to Lubbock in the fall of 1959, and left in the summer of 1961. I think, but am not sure, that the guys were flying Voodoos when I arrived. I was in the hobby shop when Riley brought in the painted up Voodoo for the Goldberg kit box art. So the Voodoo was designed in that time frame, and possibly a little earlier.

To correct my post about Riley getting 25 cents for each kit. He, a couple of years back, told me it was 5 cents for each kit, and his first check, and those for several subsequent years, was $5000.
