Humm, I guess you could but I think thats it more than a software update for this so I'd assume they would need to change the RF section of the radio as well so the certification that it has will not cover it for Europe. Having said that even if it was just software DSMX versions of the 11x will not have been certified anyway so it would still not be covered.

The 12x is a whole different kettle of fish in terms of feel in the hands, quality and also what it is capable of doing in terms of programming flexibility. The 11x can do most things so it does depend on what sort of models you are flying.

Have you been able to pick both sets up? Different sets suite different people.
