They are but with the 2.8'' wheels the sidewall is about the same so they arent to sloppy in turn's. Also besides jumping/landing the ground clearance is great in grass.
Another good thing is they weigh about the same as the stock setup.
I run 2.8s as-well, mine are 30 series so they are low profile and are the same outside diameter as the 2.2s
