RE: Norvel conversion heads
I agree Mr. C,,, the marketplace is the ultimate democracy and should not be censored. People vote with their hard earned dollars. Otherwise, the cream will never rise to the top.
Alex, I've been one of the biggest fans of Norvel from day one. I may have been the first to dieselize the .06, I've posted how I did it and in my opinion, it's cheaper and doesn't require any threading or cutting of fins. If not for family/health problems I would have been offering heads for the entire line four years ago. A niche market, labour of love kind of thing.
Trust me, I'm glad that you came along and have resurrected the line, especially the diesel aspect. Every time I go to my stash of engines and parts, I'm amazed and gratified at the quality. Especially at the prices that they were available at. Even now, they're still a bargain based on quality AND unique metallurgy. Not even the Japanese had the kahonies to offer a near diamond hard/nickel hard combination. That says a lot and you should be proud.
