Default RE: Airplane rudder gyro

Hi everyone:

I have some questions... I live in Puerto Rico and our wind is normally at 15-25mph.

And i've been doing or trying to do 3D manuvers for a few years.. specially the hover.. but with these winds or the gusts involved its quite dangerous plus not that controllable specially fighting all 3 axisat the same time..

I've heardand read here that some use a gyro on the rudder and saw the set-up videos.

Question i have.. since i would ony turn it on when i'm going to start the 3D manuvers do i have to setup the headig hold on the ground or in the air, if on the air wouldn't a wind gust make it not set up in true center?

Also the planes i'm doing 3D are 30cc gassers [funtana 90s and X260] and these vibrate aa lot when they aare on.. does that vibration alsoo bother the gyro??

Thank You
