He could have used a smaller shim to get the same .75mm lift at the rear of the turret to clear the grilles.
I must have been late, read cm where the mm is bold. I got 143 mm or 14.3 cm.
Whoops, thats ~my~ typo, not yours. Guess I got in the habit what with the shims being .75mm... but I ~did~ say (or at least mean) ~about~ 14cm... 3mm isn't much on that calculation, when used as a factor on the angle.
