Yup, OS flies them to the moon and back so they can charge more but the dang things work. As for sucking air when uncovered and vibration. Not a hint of it behind an unloaded 27,000+ rpm DF engine...good to the last drop. More than a few clunks don't work with a Hayes so I wont be getting more of those tanks. Shame, those tanks stand up great to YS pressure. I started using these clunks about 5 years ago, just wish I knew about them sooner. I like them better than the felt type.
Its funny, because I've heard of a lot of guys swear by felt clunks over the sintered clunks because its a fuel filter and anti-bubbler at the same time. Interesting.

Do you use the supplied O-Ring on your sintered clunks? I did but once I get down to where the fuel level gets below the top edge of the clunk, I see little bubbles every so often. Once its down to 1/2 way across the clunk I can hear the engine leaning out from the bigger bubbles coming through. Fill up the tank and they're gone.

I even made a new stand to combat vibration, which seems to be working better..
