Default RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

ORIGINAL: nefariousrc

Crazy question but is there any reason why the cylinder couldn't/shouldn't be rotated 90* to relocate the exhaust outlet to the front or rear? I've been offered an ESM Stuka in winter camo for aridiculous price and the DLE20 is my engine of choice. I'd like to fab scale exhaust because the cowl is so narrow there isn't room for any available exhausts without hacking the cowl which obviously detracts from the scaleappearance. My thought is to have the exhaust exit to the rear into a canister like the pitts and then an outlet on each side going to the scale exhaust tubes and I'll probobly start with the profile exhaust the VVRC offers.<div>

You cannot install a DLE20 cylinder in any position other than it's stock position, it cannot even be turned 180*.

I'd post the pictures to illustrate why but since it's no longer possible to post pictures on RCU you'll have to use the link below to find where I posted them before.
