Default Any BME 110XTreme updates?

Motors running good, Shortman. . .modified a 29-10 Mejzlik to get a wider blade chord out past the blades center of length. Can't really use a 29" prop on the fiberclassics small Extra. . has barely enough ground clearance for the 28" props, and if the grass is up, it's a lawnmower I clipped the tips and made them square with a rounded front corner. .pulls very nicely, cut the rpm a little bit over a 28-10 Mej, and is MUCH quieter. It's even quieter than a slightly slower turning (6350 vs 6200) Menz-s 28-10, which is very nice to see.

I'll be pulling the engine out of the plane in a couple of weeks and then do some intensive "bench tests" with canisters and headers and props, to get all the possible combinations I can come up with. I'll be checking for power, transition, NOISE, and basic runnability with off-the-shelf items. As well, I have a set of special canisters being shipped in from a guy in Australia who has been doing some development of a design for BME. It looks very promising at the moment, and we are bantering around the idea of a 2-1 design that will take up less room and help balance the scavenging of the cylinders for more equal power production.

I'm going flying EARLY tomorrow morning. . I'll keep the tach handy, but my main objective is to get 8-10 LONG flights on the motor and get it broken in some more. I'm down to 2 gallons of "break-in" mix, then I'll switch over to 100:1 Amsoil. right now the engien is just running so flawlessly. I havento touched the needles since the first flight some 2 weeks ago, but when I switch off the break-in mix I'll start tweaking the top end a little to see what happens.
