Hitec digital servo- stripped gears
Last week, I had a wheel come off the landing gear on my Extra 300. Had to decide whether to land on the runway and rip the gear out, or set it down in the bean field and hope fpr minimal damage.I eased it down in the bean field and had no damage except when it hit the beans, I had full up and they grabbed the counter balance on the elevator and did some damage to the gears on the 7955 mg servo. My question is can I simply buy a set of replacement gears and replace them myself, or am I better off to send the servo back to hitec.
