Default Substitut for Jeti JES 30-3p

I am new to Electric Flight having moved into it from gliders. I am thoroughly hooked! My first electric disintegrated in flight(I guess that hi-G turn wasn't such a good idea) Now I'm building my second and more durable airplane and I need a new speed controller. Apparently, my Jeti JES 30-3p didn't like the fall from 60'. When I hook everything up, my servos jitter like crazy. My new plane is much smaller and I'd like to use a more compact ESC(the Jeti measures 2" x 7/8" x 3/8"). After searching here, I've found one from CastleRC, the Phoenix 25. I want to be sure that its the right ESC for my electrical system. The specs are as follows:

Motor: Mega Motor ACn 16/15/5
Battery: 1100 mAh 2/3 A Nickel Metal Hydride 8 Cells 9.6V
Receiver: Hi-Tec 555
Servos: (2) Hi-Tec HS-55's

From my limited understanding of electrical systems, it appears that it will work. However, after a few incorrect purchases, I'd like to make sure I get the right part. Any info/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
