Default RE: Watcha Buildin'?

I am finishing off a Balsa USA North Star Then I am going on to a Ultra Sport , then a Tiger 60...I also have some maint to do on my BUSA 1/3 Cub...I am hoping Santa brings me a 1/4 scale Cub kit but Santa is pretty good at keeping her lips sealed about stuff like that...I have a 1/5 scale cub, in fact I have two, one I am flying and a Hanger 9 ARF that I won...I also have Two Balsa USA 1/3 scale Cubs, one on floats and one on wheels but I dont have a 1/4 scale Cub...I find the 1/3 scale a little big somtimes and the 1/5 scale a little small so the 1/4 scale would be really nice.. The Cub is one of my favorite planes..I think I have learned more about flying with my Cubs than any other plane...The first RC plane I ever built was a Sterling Piper Tri Pacer.. It turned out pretty nice and when I brought it out to the field to get sombody to help me fly it the guys could no believe I had built a scale plane to train on . They convinced to put it aside and build a trainer to train on..I was so disapointed but I loved that Tri Pacer enough that I saved till I knew how to fly...That started my love for Pipers about 35 yrs ago...It dosent seem so long...The plane I built to train on was called a Evolution. I cant rember who made it,maybe Dumas..It was a cool kit,it had plug in wing tips that you add on and change it from about a 48 inch wing span to a about a 72 inch wing span...It was almost a glider at that point and it would fly nice and slow..Only 3 chan...You could flat spin it rite to the ground with out hurting it..Just like a helicopter...
Good luck with your winter projects..Ultra Sport Brotherhood # 100 Biker BC
