I would definitely recommend the brushless over the brushed version, there is no comparison in power and speed. I have a Mini Revo and Mini Rally and bought both used so you can save alot that way. I've had no issues with rust. Just do routine maintenance and there shouldn't be any problems. I am not sure of the exact ride height difference of the rally and slash. But I do know the rally sits much lower, possibly 1/2" or more. As the tire/wheel diameter are smaller and also the shock springs are smaller. I have seen on another forum someone used hpi cup body on a mini rally with very little fender trimming. It was a Porsche body, so it is possible. Other than that the slash bodies will work on the rally. Also Pro-line makes a Ford Focus body now.
