RE: parkzones new ultra micro t-28
Post-saltwater soak remedy:
For those who are surrounded by salt water, as I am on this island, there is a solution to a bird that becomes an R/Csubmarine.
High tides innundated my flying area but I was not deterred. When I cut power on T-28 #1, code name "Tape", I was committed to landing-too far from my spot of land-andI put her softly on top of the tidal pool's surface like Captain Sully Sullenberger, a little tail first like a boat on a plane, then the nose.Splash was minimal but nodoubt impacted the prop motor and drive, and more than likely entered the fuselage and sprayed the circuit board and three micro servos with brackish salty water. The T-28 floats like a cork, by the way.
I opened her up and sprayed her electrics with LPS-1 and put LPS-2 on the four motor shafts and did this:
Hung inverted inside her box any water drained away and the oil displaced it all.
Electrics okay.
She runs better now than ever. Tough bird.
