if I have to land any place other than the runway the gear would be up, since the only time its down is for landing on the runway. The time it took with door sequencing and gear down was only 3 sec less with air system. I think its plenty of time since it only takes about 5 secs to get the gear inside the jet the rest is just pushing it into the final lock pos. I know the pros and cons and I still plan on putting electric on all my future jets, my choice and Im happy with it.
