I want to build this one as a very light flyer, no added bells and whistels.

Looking at a few different setups to make it a rocket ship, don't want scale, just balls out fun!!

I'm thinking about the setup I have in my GS Top Flight at 26.5 pounds it hauls butt! so this plane should be more like 20 pounds.
I'm thinking about the AXI 5345/14 with a 20x11 carbon prop on 12s 5000 mah.... I hit 4000 watts over 9000 RPM

That should do it!

The other nice setup with be the Hacker A60-14 or 16L , on 12s 5000 mah, would have to mess with props but sure I could get around 3700 watts...

I'm aiming for 200 watts per pound just to have fun with it
