RE: Tiger 1 Build Long Time Coming
My most recent work has been on the tow cables and the bracketry involved with holding them in place I decided to try to makethe hold downs myself rather than buying them. The bolts I used were a little larger than scale but my fat fingers hadtrouble with the really small bolts that I probably should have used, once painted they will be less noticeable, also I optedfor nuts instead of wing nuts so I could remove them later if necessary, I guess I could add the "wings" to the nuts I usedbut they would be a bit larger than they should be.
That is my progress so far I still have to modify the tools I am going to try my hand at the wooden handles modification Ihave seen other people do. I already did the jack block out of wood as I did on my panther, nothing looks more like wood thanreal wood. The only other component left to do which I may leave off is the rear fenders I had the plastic Tamiya oneinstalled but snapped one off during handling the tank, the plastic hinge is very weak so I may upgrade to PE units or makemy own out of brass.
Also left to do is finish the base coat and add the second color for my camouflage.</p>
That's it so far, still a work in progress.
